Growing up in the US, technological advancements usually went through expensive transformations at a prestigious lab. or university or under some national program like NASA. For Ukrainian engineers (I'm guessing they are engineers), to develop weapons that can take down expensive, powerful implements of defense and attack from almost nothing - no millions of dollars for research and development - just intelligence, experience and motivation, is delightfully amazing and admirable. To say someone is clever in a practical way in Farsi is "kalak mizaneh," literally -to know how to throw together a raft, but also means to be able to play a trick or deception. I think that phrase describes what the developers of Ukrainian military technology have been able to do in reference to the countries that expected an easy victory, especially after Trump's abandonment.
💪 I love the stories of how a couple of handfuls of Ukrainian drone operators theoretically decimated thousands of NATO military personnel/targets in exercises in recent times... what is the saying? "necessity is the mother of invention" & the increased use & effectiveness of drones against Russia certainly fits that 🤗 Noted that drones supplied by other countries get "improved" by Ukrainians pretty rapidly under battle conditions 💙💛
On the one hand it is a GOOD thing that before Russia invaded Ukraine most militaries had no need for a "rapid pace of innovation" and just upgraded & improved what had worked in the past - I certainly expect getting your a$$ handed to you by a handful of Ukrainian drone operators several times might cause a radical change to R & D 😱
