4 years ago the herniated disc in my back had just re-herniated. I had outpatient surgery on Valentines day & was home on leave, but was still in pain. So much so, I couldn't stand up straight. Russia's invasion & my 2nd back surgery (inpatient this time) coincided.

A shooting at the school where my mother worked was on valentine's day -- now every valentine's day I shut down until it's over
