The importance of telling these stories, thus recording them for posterity, cannot be overstated. Thank you!

I couldn’t agree more. Preserving these stories matters so much, not just for understanding the present, but for ensuring future generations can learn from real experiences rather than statistics. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us, Barb.

I have an orange boy cat too, but I have not had the courage to put a sweater on him!

Can identify with the sufferers of PTSD - for me it is unexpected noises! The bitter cold is very much on my mind too. Stay safe dear Counteroffensive team.

Nothing really works, I'm afraid - just staying quiet and having a cup of tea!

Europe and what remains of the West has got to end this thing. Russia treated Ukraine abominably before this war, and has treated Ukraine and Ukrainians so abominably during this war that there can be no going back. All this talk of dividing Ukraine up this way or that way has got to stop. This is a humanitarian disaster, not a real estate deal.

Regarding your poll today, the results surprised me. I’m going to make a leap here and presume that the people who feel badly about being safe and warm at home are the same people who donate money to help those who aren’t. I know I do. And I also know that if I weren’t safe and warm at home, I would not be in a position to provide that help.
