Viktor, a NABU detective with more than 10 years of experience in the bureau, reveals what it’s like to take on illicit schemes at the highest levels of government.
I feel like the Ukrainian anti-corruption unit could be a model for the US if we have the opportunity to undo all of the damage of the last few years. Putting their successes out there on social media is part of the transparency that is needed to win back public trust.
This is the kind of journalism in which The Counteroffensive excels. NABU and SAPO are integral agencies to attack corruption in Ukraine. An inside look at one of the independent investigators gives us insights on how the operation looks. Much appreciated.
So happy to read about your dedicated anticorruption department. After you finish your on-the-job-training, how about opening a branch in Washington DC to clean up the Trump administration. The midterm elections are 66 days away. Lackabo npocumo b Amepuky.
Mykhailo Fedorov's decision to leave his country behind is enormously disappointing. This move looks entirely self-serving--certainly not something an aspiring leader of Ukraine would do.
👍Indeed his spoilt brat immature behaviour after not being re-appointed maybe gives a clue as to why he wasn't? I noted Zelenskyy saying at one point that constantly meeting with people & getting nowhere was a waste of time when there is a war to win (I paraphrase, but I thought he meant mediating between Sirsky & Fedorov due to the timing of the comment 🤔) There are many ways to help Ukraine if you really want to, apart from that one title 🤷
Agree that Zelensky probably got fed up playing referee. Interesting that Fedorov got a job in Giorgia Meloni's government. She and Zelensky are close allies. Maybe she did a favor for her friend in Kyiv.
👍💪 💙💛 Unlike some, I am heartened by the reports of corruption being exposed - sunlight being the best disinfectant and all that, plus hopefully warning others not to go down that path ... As for Russian propaganda re Ukraine, pot calling kettle black eh⁉️ As for the question about corruption in other countries, unfortunately it is a human trait for SOME to want to benefit financially from positions of influence and power, rather than doing the work for the people, and the biggest incentive is if they think they won't get caught OR like the orange menace & his family et al currently have the power to temporarily block being held accountable.🙇
Will be interested in learning WHY a dangerous facility was located where it was - assuming it was already there & thought too hard to shift when the need for their product was so urgent, but does seem counter-intuitive 🤷 particularly when Ukrainian drones are demonstrating what targets work on Russian territory... Sauce for the goose & all that, as they can probably argue it is a MILITARY target as opposed to the schools & houses & hospitals of their war crimes 🥺

I absolutely love the cat of war this week.....
Outstanding post!

Thank you for an interesting story. I’m watching rampant, in our faces, corruption occurring in my own country currently. It’s disheartening.
I hope you all are OK with the near constant air alerts caused by your diseased neighbor.
