The Ukrainian version of ‘The Bachelor’ illustrates how dating preferences have have shifted during the war. Now patriotism, military service, and expertise in Ukrainian are all highly sought after.
What a great article. I’m enjoying your work more with each piece you submit. I’ve spent many years as an advocate for veterans here and your work highlights what so many find to love in them. There’s nothing quite like a good man with the strength of character to sincerely devote himself to things he knows are important. I wish all the couples the very best in luck and love.
Lost in much of the reporting of the war is what it is about: preserving the ordinary lives of ordinary people. Russia is trying to extinguish Ukraine-ness... the connections to the land, the music, the cuisine, the language, and the network of people that constitutes Ukraine. Veterans, especially those wounded in body or spirit, are vulnerable to being cut off from others. Every effort to re-engage and include them amounts to saving of the life of the nation.
May God give a special blessing to those who care for the wounded.
This is exactly the kind of on-the-ground, real-life coverage I look forward to in each post by The Counteroffensive team. Thank you!

The russophilic maga disinformation machine is about to take over U.S. government communication channels (e.g., Voice of America; White House press office). What false narratives about Ukraine should we be most on the lookout for, so we can push back?

Well said, Joel. Slava Ukrainii.
Thank you, Joel! Agree 100%. Here, in Ukraine, we have initiatives for veterans and I hope there will be more 🙂
