Much appreciated update from The Arsenal on the challenges faced by Ukraine in countering Russia’s jet-powered Shaheds. Everyone is confident that Ukraine’s drone developers will upgrade their interceptors to kill Russian drones. Certainly, it is not easy.

🙇 Unrealistic gripe considering human nature, but it is SOOOOO infuriating that so much $$$ is being spent on things designed to kill people and/or inflict maximum damage on infrastructure that supports the population, or defend against such 😱 BUT while there are despots such as Putin (& Trump & Netanyahu ...) countries will have to spend $$$ on their military "just in case" their peaceful nation has to defend itself - what a better world we could have if dealing with the climate crisis, Ebola, food insecurity, polluted rivers, etc etc etc were properly focused on & funded 🤷
But on the topic at hand - of course Ukrainians are developing interceptors for these abominations, and it seems intuitive that Russia is trying to take advantage of the gap in Ukrainian ability to deal with them while it lasts by sending large numbers ⁉️ the minor plus side to that is Russia having to spend more money on each drone but not much to cheer about when they are targetting civilians & civilian infrastructure 🥺😢
