Ukraine is the bulwark against Russia’s aggression against the continent. Europeans (and Americans)not stepping up for its defense are extremely shortsighted. Dangerous times ahead.
The only (temporary) solution would be a catastrophic volcanic eruption – think Krakatoa – which will pump so much ash and sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere that we would experience a nuclear winter... drastic but it would lower the global temperature by a couple of degrees. Mind you, humanity will still have to eliminate fossil fuel usage as well.
🤔 What do they say? "It's an ill wind that blows NOBODY any good!" so ice-makers, fan sellers etc etc thrive more in the heat & the opposite during extreme cold - but commercial opportunities aside the extremes are less tolerated by some people and do cause premature deaths.
As to your question about being able to reverse climate change - depends if, as some say, we are already past the tipping point of no return, or just standing on the precipice ⁉️ Whichever, we can certainly stop making it worse if govts & individuals chose to act NOW, and if not yet beyond the tipping point then again the same plus actions to repair/restore what can be as a matter of urgent priority. I personally know of many instances where groups have taken action, but that needs to be multiplied by EVERYONE EVERYWHERE.
😱 In my area we are not dealing with heatwaves (it is winter) but roads & bridges are washed out, homes are under water, 100's of people have had to evacuate from flooding, power is/has been out in many areas, and all in the latest "1 in 100 yr storm" we have had 3 or 4 of in the last 12 months 🙇🥹 I have stopped calling it "climate change" & say "climate crisis" along with many scientists 🤷
