Despite promises of 'prosperity' in occupied Mariupol, Russia is seizing properties and inventing bogus reasons to avoid paying compensation to the owners.
Thank you, Yelyzaveta! This is another horrendous scheme I knew nothing about, and I bet most Americans don’t either. Just one more treacherous and insidious evil that Putin is orchestrating. I wish the US was more helpful to Ukraine! It’s so incredibly unfair.
Our current fascist oligarchy is not the America I grew up in. In the past, we would have given so much to support a sister country, such as Ukraine. Now, to trump and co., Ukraine is on the opposite side of the earth, and therefore not our problem. I wish Zelensky good luck with the orange menace this Friday.
Many thanks for lifting the lid on this fascist behaviour by Putin, his administration and his cronies. It reminds us once again, if any reminding is necessary after 3 years of “ a special military operation”, that Russia’s ultimate aim is to wipe Ukraine off the map and efface its identity. And that therefore the only strategy for Ukraine and its allies, is to win a resounding military victory over the aggressor and bring about the demise, real or political, of Putin himself.
Putin is a war criminal, so much of what his troops do, comes under the heading "war crime". Mariupol's destruction is per se a war crime, so as far as I can tell, once Ukraine gets her lands back and ejects the vile Russians, then the time will come to seek restitution from the Kremlin and to reverse the damage caused by Russia. Hopefully the city can regain its former status, and the Russification in turn be erased.

I sincerely hope there will be truth and reconciliation after Ukraine reclaims the lands stolen by Putin.
