Thanks for reminding us the plight of the people of Venezuela; it is so difficult to keep track of all of the conflicts and victims around the world, and so easy to forget some people.
Appreciate the update on what is happening inside of Venezuela. I want to know and intend to keep up but, admittedly, my follow through is not always 100%. I voted no to the poll because I haven’t had a chance to seek out updates.
That said, I subscribe to this newsletter because of the important work you do keeping us informed of what’s happening globally. Keep this up.
🤔I voted "yes" but don't follow as closely as Ukraine news as I already had trusted people on the Ukraine beat (Tim Mak anyone? Prof Snyder? ) so deep dives like this don't come up in my sources often. Another infuriating situation where the "ordinary folks" are the ones who pay the price while the corrupt & powerful enrich themselves & inflict pain and suffering on those they don't like or don't care about at all 🥹😢
