How one woman reconnected with her Ukrainian heritage by learning the original lyrics of the Ukrainian song, known in English as 'Carol of the Bells,' or Schedryk.
Love ‘Shchedryk’ - especially the version you feature by Eileena. The Carol of the Bells has long been my favourite Christmas carol, although it is only in the past few years that I discovered that it was a Ukrainian melody & song. One day I hope we'll be able to say "Merry Christmas" to our Ukrainian friends, but I feel "Christmas Blessings, Stay Safe" is more appropriate whilst Poo-tin's troops are ravaging your beautiful land.
💙💛🫂I remember learning about this Carol earlier & loving knowing of it's connection between Ukraine & the world at Christmas time, even if we didn't know 😁 Beautiful 👍

Such a lovely version of Shchedryk. Finally feeling the Christmas spirit after listening to this acapella version.
Beautiful song. Thank you. Your dog of war is a NAFO fella.
This song has become a universal, traditional Christmas Carol.
