How would drones have changed the SOF mission in Mogadishu that Americans know as Black Hawk Down? Would the battle have ended in a deadlier fashion and what lessons can we draw for modern warfare?
I don’t know why any news-gathering agency would report the results of a Russian election as if it was legitimate. Everyone knows the election is pre-determined and any valid opposition is vetoed.
On the other hand, the state elections in Germany are very concerning. The Socialists and CDU party better toughen up laws on immigration or this will continue. The former East Germany has maintained its love connection with Russia.
🤔 Interesting re-imagining of a "battle" with or without drones. Of course another change Ukraine deploys is the un-manned transports that go in & extract wounded or stranded civilians or even deliver supplies to military positions, but in this particular scenario of short & sharp rather than entrenched & prolonged, they wouldn't have helped either side I think? Of course it is problematic if the so called "bad guys" get adept at using drones, but I worry more about rogue states with much bigger resources & access to advanced tech (such as Russia or the USA!) deciding to invade say Greenland, or Australia, or Aotearoa-New Zealand, or or or? using overwhelming drone warfare as a major early component & then maintain control via surveillance drones etc - many countries in the world would be vulnerable to such a rogue state 🤷
🫣 More worried about the German elections than Russia as Don said, although re Germany it is well known that in most places elections outside of the major nationwide government elections can a) mean a lower turnout of less motivated voters and b) the more motivated voters are generally those who want to disrupt or change the local scene - I hope the German results are either an aberration OR a wake-up call for those who don't pay much attention 🙄
I'd add to this one thing, I think drones are unlocked for everyone now, big or small (especially small). I keep coming back to Operation Spider Web when Ukraine smuggled its drones deeeeeep into Russia, even close to North Korea. Ukraine basically wrote a recipe book for any actor in the world to reuse.
Cuddle the cats. They are cute.

Yes, and it drives me a little crazy when this farce is called an "election" at all.
